I didn’t do a weekly recap last week and I apologize. Things were a little crazy last week and we went to Tucker’s favorite place this past weekend: to visit his golden retriever uncles Spenser and Oliver so there wasn’t much time to type. I have a few things on my mind to write about this week though the next two weeks will be busy at work with a conference next week so I’ll try and do what I can.
Kids Practice Reading to Shy Shelter Dogs: I love this story because it not only helps kids but also helps dogs. I’ve often read about bringing therapy dogs into libraries to help kids who are shy, but I love that this is sort of the other way around.
Also, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all my new Facebook followers. I love that you guys are enjoying my page. Please let me know if you want me to feature anything!
My new pals at Tales of Tucker sent me this award and I thank them tremendously. I get excited when their blog is updated because her Tucker is currently recovering from hip surgery and love to hear his progress. I … Continue reading →
Happy Saturday! Not only is it Saturday, but it’s also Valentines weekend! Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays, though we aren’t really doing much this year. I blame the frigid temperatures here in the DC region. Plus we’re … Continue reading →
Puppies everywhere! Recently, Tucker’s breeder, Catherine from Ivywest Golden Retrievers welcomed two new litters of golden puppies. I’ve also seen a few new puppies in the neighborhood so you know what I have? PUPPY FEVER! I know that I can’t … Continue reading →
Has this past week kicked anyone else’s butt? In my other life (away from being a crazy dog mom) I work in state government affairs and being February, state legislatures are busy. I haven’t even had time to post this week. Have no fear though, I have lots of plans to post this weekend!
First though, I must say a very hearty thank you to Margret from Three Pups and a Couple of Kitties who gave me a very nice Blogger Recognition Award. I love reading about her goldens and their antics and her blog is even more fun now that her goldens have forced her away from the computer and are typing blog posts themselves. Many thanks again pups!
Now I get to recognize and share other blogs I like…so, without further adieu:
Kilroy is Here: I love reading about Kilroy, a retired racing greyhound and his adventures, especially because they live near our neck of the woods.
Tales of Tucker: I just actually happened upon this one and mainly because her pup shares the same name as mine. I’m already hooked and you should be too!
If I didn’t recognize you, don’t worry, I still love you! It’s just that Margret and I share many of the same blogs and I know she recognized a few I didn’t!
The reason I started this blog was that I love to write and since we have gotten Tucker, I have really been immersed in learning all things dog. I find them fascinating and I love to learn new things. I also love to share my crazy dog mom-ness. What advice would I give to new bloggers? PATIENCE! It takes time to grow your blog and find your voice. Don’t get so bogged down that it isn’t fun anymore.
