SnowZilla 2016

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you are aware that the East Coast got hammered with just a bit of snow this weekend. It started on Friday afternoon and went through Saturday night…all in all, we got about 20 inches in our neck of the woods of Arlington, VA, though others got more. Tucker has always done well in the snow but this was a bit of a challenge because we’ve never had this much before. We had a slight issue with pooping but seem to be getting over that and now it’s just about trying to find safe places to walk and avoiding all the big mounds of snow. During the blizzard, I did an exciting dog project which I can’t wait to share with you later in the week. For now, enjoy a slightly delayed “What I’m loving this week” and some snow photos!

Things I’m loving this week:

1) The snow- sort of. I was actually really nervous about this snow. They were not forecasting pretty things for the weekend and I was really nervous about taking Tucker out in it. It wasn’t as bad as I thought but it was definitely an all hands and paws on deck scenario for our family. Thankfully, we’re all still speaking to each other.

2) Service Dog at a Wedding: This sweet story reminds us all how special these animals are.

3) Panda Snow: Tian Tian, the panda bear at the National Zoo got some playtime yesterday during the snow. What a cutie!

Wherever you are, I hope you and your family are safe. We couldn’t be more grateful to our maintenance crew at our apartment for digging all of us out and helping create safe walkways for our pups and we’re thinking of all those police, fire and first responders and everyone else who has worked to keep us all safe.
