Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I have enjoyed some time off and have one more day before I go back to work and I think Tucker is ready to get back to normalcy.
For 2016, I hope to really grow this blog. That will take some time and I am open to all suggestions. I’ve already thought of a few ideas that I am excited to share. For now, I’m going to leave with you some things I’ve been interested in this past week:
Rossen Reports on Car Harnesses and Carriers: I’m not going to lie, sometimes Jeff Rossen on the Today Show freaks me out just a little bit with his reports. At least he doesn’t test these on Wrangler, the Today Show puppy. This is an important one if you travel with your favorite four-legged one in the car. The harness we have isn’t mentioned on here and frankly, I feel that Tucker is pretty safe but its an important watch/read.
Scoop on Poop: If you are an avid reader of this blog (and I hope to have more of you in 2016), you know or will soon learn that poop is one of my favorite topics. My mom asked me the other day if I analyze my own as much as I analyze Tucker’s. Yes, it’s gross and yet every time Tucker has an issue, I run to the internet to read countless articles on poop. I’m starting to feel like a poop expert. Now, if you are concerned, you should always call your vets, but I’ve found this chart from Nestle-Purina helpful as well (thanks also to Foothill Pet Hospital for providing the link).
WalkForADog/Wooftrax: Was one of your New Years resolutions to exercise more? Even if you don’t have a dog, you can walk for a dog using this super cool app. This app gives donations to a shelter or rescue of your choice (if they are in the Wooftrax program) every time you walk. Funds from each donation period are divided among shelters and rescues based on the number of people who are actively walking for each organization as seen on the Impact tab of the app. The more active walkers per donation period, the more (and more often!) that organization receives donations. Check it out today!
Stay tuned for some new updates soon!
